ACUPUNCTURE AND CHINESE MEDICINE
JETHRO ROWLAND Dip Ac, Dip CHM, MBAcC, MRCHM
Jethro Rowland is an experienced practitioner of Traditional Chinese medicine. He qualified in traditional acupuncture in 1991, after three years study at the London School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, which is now part of Westminster University. He went on to study Chinese herbal medicine at the London Academy of Oriental Medicine, qualifying in 1995. Since then Jethro has studied addiction therapy at Thames Valley University and undergone extensive training in several areas of complementary therapy and addiction.
Jethro has a great deal of experience in treating a very wide range of conditions and has private practices in London and Hertfordshire. He has specialised in the field of addiction for over twenty years, and worked as a consultant for several addiction treatment agencies. He a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and a member of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM.)
DR. SHULI REICH BSc Psy, PHD Psy, Dip Clinical Psychology
Dr Shuli Reich is our resident Counsellor. She is a Chartered Consultant Clinical Psychologist and trained at University College and the Royal London Hospitals. She has worked for many years in London Teaching Hospitals and has published extensively in academic journals.
She specialises in counselling and in short term psychotherapy (CBT) , and offers confidential help for a range of problems including : stress; anxiety; depression; bereavement; self-esteem; relationship difficulties; victims of sexual abuse.
She also provides a neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation service for adults with known or suspected cognitive function.
She is a registered provider with a number of private health insurance companies.
MASSAGE, REIKI AND BACH FLOWER
We can offer therapeutic massage with three qualified practitioners; sessions are available on every day of the week, inc. Saturdays. Many people find massage useful as an addition to Osteopathy and other treatments or on its own. Massage works by relaxing the muscles causing an increased blood flow and lymphatic drainage. Depending on individual problems.
MS MAIRIN MORGAN NEE DRAKE ITEC, MIPTI.
Ms Mairin Drake has been with the clinic since 1997; prior to that having run a successful practice at her home since 1990. She believes in a holistic approach to health, practicing the healing art of Reiki, alongside treating emotional imbalances as a registered Bach Flower practitioner. Our therapists can work generally or on specific areas such as neck, shoulders or feet.
SIMON BROOK Dip CHyp.
Simon has a diploma in cognitive hypnotherapy and is a member of the National Council of Hypnotherapy and is registered with the CNHC. He treats depression, anxiety, phobias and addictions, including smoking and nail biting. He is also a mindfulness teacher and runs courses for the public and businesses and incorporates it into his daily practice.
Angelique Swallow MSTAT
Angelique is a member of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique. She has assisted as an Alexander Teacher at the Royal College of Music and provides private lessons, public talks and workshops for musicians, corporations and the elderly.
Learning the Alexander Technique is especially beneficial to those who suffer from back, neck and joint pain. It will help you to rediscover your natural poise and regain control of your body by learning to release unnecessary tension which contributes to pain, stress and breathing problems. You can apply the Technique in everyday activities, whether at work, rest or play.
